The public are asked to support the Hunt Club’s efforts in its endeavour to make its annual race meeting on Saturday next at Wingatui racecourse the most sociable and best race meeting of the year. The committee is watching every detail to see that its patrons get "all their requirements fulfilled to their satisfaction. It is the committee’s desire to see as many ladies present as possible, and with this end in view complimentary tickets will be given to ladies for the asking. Those attending can rely on having a really enjoyable race meeting and a good day’s outing. A special afternoon tea is to be prepared by Mrs Campbell. Excellent music will be played by the Otago Regimental Band under Conductor Lieutenant L. O. Asten. This will be a treat in itself. Everybody should support the local Hunt Club, whose programme for Saturday’s race meeting includes a steeplechase, a hurdle race, four flat races, and two trotting events, a variety that should suit all, with a good train service to the course at Is 6d return.
