RETURNED SOLDIERS' AFFAIRS
MEETING AT FGBTOBELL& Under the auspices of the executive of the Dunedin Returned Soldiers’ Association a meeting of the ex-service-men from the Portobello and Broad Bay districts was held at Portobello last night, the chair being occupied by Mr D. Arnett. Addresses on the activities and achievements of the Returned Soldiers’ Association were given by Messrs A. J. Gordon, A. M'Hutchon, and O, L. Ferens, who stressed the advantages to be obtained by sound organisation. After some discussion the following committee, to be known as the Portobello Returned Soldiers’ Committee, was appointed to function in the district;—Messrs D. Arnott. Aitken, Clark, and Seaton (Portobello), A. MTaggart and E. M’Taggart (Broad Bay). . - „ It was decided that a reunion of all returned soldiers in the Otago lenmsula should be held within the next sis wrecks.
