RACES ARRANGED In connection with tho big sports effort at Carisbrook on Saturday in aid of the funds of the sports queen, the Otago Amateur Athletic Centre last night decided to put on two races—-half-mile and one mile handicaps, entries for which will close at noon on Friday. On September 9 a junior mile handicap (under nineteen! and half-milo open handicap will he run in conjunction with the sports’ gala day at Tahuna Park, and on September 111 two amateur cycle races will bo held at the Caledonian Ground.
