THE REICHSTAG FIRE
PREPARING FOR THE TRIAL Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright. BERLIN, August 24. (Received August 25, at 11.40 a.m.) The Reichstag fire trial will open at Leipzig on September 21. After the preliminary sessions at the scene of the firo the prosecution will call over 100 witnesses and exports. The indictment consists of a volume of 250 pages. The judges have already read thirty-five thick bundles of documents.
The 1 Borsen Zeitung ’ reports that Torgler lias chosen a leading Nazi lawyer (Herr Alfonso Sack) to defend him on a charge of firing the Reichstag.
