The new office boy had an indifferent memory. His employer, tired of reminding him of his duties, instructed him to make a note of everything important he had to do, and to keep it beside him on his desk. The next day the employer was glad to see a large note prominently displayed on the boy s desk “At last!” he murmured to himself “My warnings have taken effect.” Complacently he walked over to look at the notice.
