MANSLAUGHTER CHARGE

FURTHER REMAND GRANTED At the Police Court this morning, Arthur John Thomas Wilkinson appeared on remand charged that on June 3 he unlawfully killed Peter Smith, thereby committing manslaughter. The accused was represented by Mr J. G. Warrington. Chief-detective Young asked for a further remand, and said that the case would be a fairly lengthy one. He took it that the inquest proceedings would be taken at the same time. The magistrate remanded Wilkinson until 9 a.m. on Juno 15.
