TAIERI DOMAIN BOARD

A meeting of the Taieri Mouth Domain Board was held at Milton on Tuesday, and was attended by Messrs W. It. Brngh (chairman), H. M. Driver, P. J. Priest, W. Moore, jnn., J. Joseph, and G. H. Thomson. Mr J. P. Walls, who had acted as clerk for a number of years, resigned his position owing to pressure of business.—The resignation was accepted with regret, Mr Walls to be thanked for his services. Mr Priest was appointed to fill the vacancy. Correspondence was received from the Commissioner of Crown Lands advising that a notice appeared in the Gazette, December 1. 1932, permanently reserving for recreation purposes section 13. block IV., town of Hull, area one acre. —Noted. As the leases of the two tenants oi the board would expire in November iiext, it was resolved that the tenancies be renewed on the same terms as with the Land Board. The question of insuring the board’s buiUlmm? at Taieri Mouth was brought up by Air Joseph,'and it was decided to insure the shelter shed and bathing boxes. Air Thomson said ho thought that something should be done with the old boarding house site, which was now unller the control of the board. Ho would move that steps lie taken to have the site cleaned up. He suggested that this might be done under the No. !> unemployment scheme.—lt was agreed to leave the matter in .the hands of Air Joseph and the county inspector.
