THE SECESSION PROPOSAL
FEDERAL GOVERNMENT INTERESTED. Press Association—By Telegraph—CopyrighS CANBERRA, March 7. (Received March 7, at 1 p.m.) The proposal for a Federal non-party campaign in opposition to the Western Australian secession movement has been abandoned because the. Leader of the Federal Labour Party declined to take part. Mr Lyons stated that the Minister of Defence and the Minister, in Charge of Developments would proceed to Western Australia to take part in the campaign against secession pa behalf of the Federal Government.
