DUNEDIN STOCK EXCHANGE A parcel of Bank of. New South Wales shares was for sale at £3l at this rnornin°'’s meeting of the Dunedin Stock Exchange,, but there were no takers for it. The inquiry for Nationals o! New Zealand improved to £3 8s 6d, but there were no sellers. A buyer of Nationals of Australasias, came on the market at £ll 15s, and buyers of the contributing issue improved to £5 15s, without a seller quoting. Unions eased to £7 18s, without'attracting a buyer. National Insurances were wanted at 14s, and New Zealand* at £2 4s 6d. while the inquiry for Standard* was raised to £2 65,, without a seller quoting for any shares in this section. Kaitangata Coals were again asked for at 17*, ' and a seller came on the market at £l. . . Gear Meats were offered at 11s, without'a buyer quoting for them, while contributing "N.Z. Refrigerating shares were wanted at 4s, with ‘ a seller threepence away.Mosgiel Woollens were in demand at £6 16e, and M’Leod Bros, at £23. without any seller quoting for cither. N.Z. Drugs were firm' at £2 17s, and buyers rose to £2 15s 3d'for them. Smith and Smiths were also firm at, yesterday’s price, 12s being asked, with buyers offering 10s. The inquiry for N.Z. Breweries improved to £1 7s 6d, without any sellers. Tooth’s were not obtainable under £1 15s 6d, and the best buyer offered £1 14s for them. Carltons'were easier, £1 15s 6d being asked, without any buyers. There was a reported sale of Kawaraus, after which buyers reverted to yesterday’s price l of sd. Broken Hill Souths were quoted cum dividend, and were for sale at £2 5s 6d, with buyers offering £2 4s Bd. A parcel of Paddy’s Points changed hands at ; ss 7d, the market closing with a further seller at that price and a buyer at one penny less. Golden Dawns were wanted at is arid after, the call a sale was reported at that price. Broken Hill South Is Feb. 10 OIL BORING OPERATIONS AT MOTUROA FIELDS A report on operations at the MbtUroa Oil Fields Ltd., for the week ended January 20, states that No. 3 well has been drilled to 1.900 ft. The Sin casing has been inserted to ].BB(jft. The formation is of mudstone containing , bands of sandstone. No. 2 well has now been cleaned out to tbo bottom and screens replaced. The tubing and pump are now being installed for resumption of'production this week.
