The -first meeting of the year of the Triumph Lodge, Noi 9, was hold in the Oddfellow Hall, Kensington. There was a .large attendance of members and visitors to greet the W.M., Bro. W. O’Neill. The standing orders were suspended # to allow the initiation of a new member, the ceremony being conducted by the W.M., assisted by the visiting' W.M. and P.M. The auditors" report was received/ after which the secretary read the quarterly balance-sheet, which showed the lodge to’’be in a healthy condition. The secretary ’and were confratulated on the manner in which they ad kept the books of the lodge. The W.M. then thanked the officers and members for the way Tn which they had supported him during his term of office. He then handed over the. control of the meeting to the W.G.M., Bro. Devlin, to conduct the installation of the newly-elected officers as follow:—W.M., Bro. Perrin; 1.P.M., Bro. O’Neill; D.M., Bro. Weir; P.M., Bro. Barr;* secretary, Bro. Bachop; treasurer, P.M. Bro. Jas. Robb; assistant secretary, -P.M. Bro. Sincodk; S;E., Sister Black; J.E., Sister Ewart; ‘ 1.6., Bro. Matthews; 0.G., Bro. Coulter; auditors, P.M.S. Bro. Sincock and Bro. Bar. A vote of thanks to the visitors was responded to by W.6.M. Bro. Devlin on behalf of the Grand Lodge, Bro. Barrett (No. 11), Bro.
Adams (No. 41), Sister Bennett (No. 1). , The first meeting for the new year of the Valley True Blue Lodge was held in the lodge hall, Leith street, on Tuesday. The meeting was opened by the W.M. Bro. A.S. Barrett, assisted by a full staff of officers. A large number of visitors were present from the Triumph No. 9 Lodge and the. Loyal Excelsior Lodge. .The W.G. Master Bro. A. Devlin and the Grand Executive officers were also, present. The ' auditor’s report was received, after which the secretary read the balance- . sheets, which showed the lodge to be in a very healthy condition. At this stage the meeting was handed over to the control of the W-.G.M., Bro. Devlin, who installed the newly-elected officers as follows .'—W.M., Bro. W. Graves; 1.P.M., Bro. Barrett; D.M., Bro. T. A Past Master’s collar was presented to P.M. Bro; G. T. Austin by the W.G. Master, Bro. A. Dev- ; lin. A vote, of thanks. to the visitors was; responded to.by Bro. Devlin and /other Qrand Lodge officers, also W.M. V Bro. G. Perrin on behalf -of Triumph Lodge, and Secretary Bro. A. Murie on behalf of Loyal Excelsior. Many members expressed their intention of visiting the Star of Oamaru Lodge on Saturday, January 28. .
