ARRESTED ON HONEYMOON
MONEYLENDER VICTIMISED [Per United Press Association.] AUCKLAND, December 22. Arrested at a seaside resort while on bis honeymoon, Ernest Henry Ricketts (fifty), a motor driver, will spend tho next two months in Mount Eden Gaol. The police said the accused, while staying at tho boarding house of a man named White, got a moneylender nut to tho house, and by representing himself as White and owner of tho furniture, obtained £B. Then he got married on tho £B. The probation officer said accused’s practice was to get into touch with clergymen. They found him jobs and he let them down. Ho deserted his : wife in Christchurch some years ago. ! Counsel for accused said his'bride was | prepared to stick to him.
