ST. CLAIR A BEATS ST. CLAIR B The fifth series of matches in the Donald Stuart water polo banner competition was played at the St. Clair Club bour last night, St. Clair A beating St. Clair B by 6 goals to 3 after a colourless game. Neither team appeared to take the game very seriously, and infringements jvere frequent, this robbing the game of interest from the point of view of the spectators. J. Swan was tho outstanding player, and scored three goals for the A team, while Turnbull and M‘Al- - each scored one. For the B’s, Gladwin played a good game, and was always looking for work, shooting two goals, while 11. Lewis scored one. The teams were: St. Clair A—S. M'Kenzie, T. Turnbull, J. Swan, W. Woods, Tyrie (2). and W. M'Allcn. St. Clair B—H. Isaacs, J. Faulks, L. Gladwin, Hay," V. Aldous, H. Lewis, and D. Christopher. Mr D. C. Bannatyne was the referee. The next game will be between Kiwi B and Kiwi C, on Thursday night.
