DUNEDIN STOCK EXCHANGE Bank of New South Wales eased to £27 without attracting a buyer at the morning call over of the Dunedin Stock Exchange. Nationals of New Zealand were on the market at £3 7s 6d cum dividend, and Unions were firm at £7 ss, without a buyer of cither. The inquiry for South British Insurances improved slightly, buyers offering £2 13s, but the shares were not obtainable. In the shipping section Unions were still asked for at £1 Os 6d, and a seller came on the market at sixpence more. Goldsbrough, Morts and National Mortgages were for sale at £1 Is 6d and £1 17s respectively, but there was no market for them. A buyer of ordinary Wright, Stephensons came on the market again at 11s, but there was no offering. Gear Meats were for sale at the reduced price of £1 7s, and buyers offered 9s 3d for the paid-up Refrigerating shares. Paid-up Southland Frozen Meats were on the market at 2s Os 6d, without any buyer offering more than £1 18s. British Tobaccos were obtainable at the reduced price of £1 Bs, and D.I.C. (pref.) were firm at 19s, buyers offering 17s 6d for them. Mosgiel Woollens were in demand at £6 14s, and M’Leod Bros, at £22 10s, but no sellers responded. N.Z. Drugs had a slightly wider market, sellers increasing their quotation to £2 18s, and no buyers offering more than £2 12s. Farmers’ Fertilisers eased to 13s 6d. but there was no demand for them. A sale of Kawaraus at 8d was reported, after which they were sold on' ’Change at sd, the market finally closing with buyers at 4d and sellers at 6d. After a reported sale of Okaritos at 8s the hammer fell with no buyer bidding more than 7s lOd for them, and sellers asking 8s 2d. Two parcels of Gillespie’s Beach shares changed hands at 3d premium, but later no buyers offered more than 2Jd premium for them, the selling price being 3£d premium.
