ITALY WILL PAY
ROME, December 6. (Received December 7, at 1.35 a.m.)
The Fascist Grand Council, Signor Mussolini presiding, resolved that Italy will pay the instalment due on December 15, which amounts to £250,000 at par, but no more. It reaffirmed the clean slate policy regarding war debts, and decided to ask for an immediate revision.
ROME, December 6.
The Fascist Grand Council decided that Italy will pay her war debt to America.
