OTAGO KENNEL CLUB
The monthly meeting of the Otago Kennel Club was held on Thursday evening, when there was a large attendance. The secretary reported that' all arrangements in connection with the forthcoming ribbon parade to ba held in the basement of the Town Hall on Saturday, November 29, had been completed. Much interest is being shown in this parade, and a large number of dogs have already i been entered. It is over twenty years since a, similar parade was held in Dunedin. The object of these ribbon parades i$ to encourage novice owners and novice dogs, the judges pointing out the defects as well as the good points in the animal show. Distinctive ribbons will bo given to the first and second dog in each class, and an extra large one to the best dog in each section. These ribbon parades will be held at suitable intervals.
