MELBOURNE, October 12. Compris has been scratched for the Caulfield Cup. Hermid (TV. Cook) galloped a mile and a-quarter on the grass in 2min 14sec at Caulfield to-day, the last three furlongs in .‘3f)sec, Gaine Carrington and Peter Jackson wont usefully.
At Fiemington, Mural Crown did four furlongs in dlsoc. Peter Pan and Satmoth did striding work.
