There is no more effective way of making the attractions of the dominion known than by reproductions of views of our scenic resources. The ‘ Press ’ Company this year has produced an annual that, showing in picture form a number or these, is admirably adapted for sending to _ friends abroad. The scenes taken chiefly relate to Canterbury and the western part of the South Island, and cover a good range of sub-jects—snow-clad mountains, turbulent rivers, and dense bush, as well as pastoral and agricultural subjects. The reproduction of these pictures shows much technical and artistic merit, and the original cover design is an admirable introduction to the publication.
