LOAN EXHIBITION OF ANTIQUES
This exhibition, which opens this evening in the Pioneer Hall, promises to be ono of the most outstanding successes yet scon in Dunedin. The openiiicr ceremony will take place at b o’clock when Sir Henry Lindo Ferguson. C.M.G., will declare the exhibition open. . A private view this afternoon was quite a revelation in showing 'vliut Dunedin can produce in a wonderful collection of antique furniture, cluan, silver, tapestries, books, and pictures—all displaced in a most attractyo manner. Many of these, beside their artistic value, carry romantic histories, and it is safe to say that such a collection has never before been staged. The exhibition will remain open until the 20th, and although on the opening nhdit the whole may perhaps be glimpsed, it will take many visits to insncct each exhibit. Season tickets may be purchased tor .‘ls, and may ho used at any time during the next fortnight.
