TRADE STIMULUS

THE COPENHAGEN EXHIBITION MANY LARGE ORDERS TAKEN (British Official Wireless.) Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright RUGBY, September 27. The enormous interest displayed by the Banes and visitors from other parts of the Continent in the British Trade Exhibition at Copenhagen is being maintained, and exhibitors say that they have not elsewhere experiencd anything like the enthusiasm that is being shown there. The police have still to keep tire crowds moving in the exhibition grounds to prevent congestion. Many large orders have been taken, and more are in train, the general impression being that the exhibition has undoubtedly given a great stimulus to British trade in Denmark.

The Prince of Wales to-day spoke at a luncheon at Copenhagen ' given by four big Danish organisations representing commerce, industry. agriculture, and shipping. He said there was distinct evidence that the British manufacturers’ enterprise was being rewarded, and that the interest taken in the exhibition was very real. Some substantial orders had already been placed and ho was sure that those who made purchases from British manufacturers would be satisfied, and they would sec that Britain was prepared to do everything possible to meet the needs of Denmark. Ho hoped that the personal contacts established through the exhibition would bo useful to both Danish and British firms.
