ORKNEY AND SHETLAND SOCIETY
The monthly social and dance of the above society was held in the Trades Hall on Saturday evening. There were present about one hundred members and their friends. The evening’s entertainment took the torm of dancing, interspersed with vocal and other items. The following contributed towards the programme:—Songs —Miss Hendry, Miss French, Mr W. Stevenson, and Mr Hendry; recitations, Mavis Connolly and Willie Henderson; Violin solo, Barbara Henderson. During the interval the president (Mr W. R. Henderson) took the opportunity to thank all those who had assisted to make the social a success. He also congratulated Mr and Mrs A. W. Henderson on winning the Monte Carlo competition.
