Hamviri covered the same distance in Imin 35sec, Nightmarch seven in Imin Sljsec, True Shaft the last six in Imin 19Jsec, and Havering and Lough Neagh seven in Imin 33sec. Historic went a, mile in Imin 49scc. Cylinder beat Eastern Chief and Taisho over ten furlongs in 2min ISJsee. Gaine Carrington and Peter Jackson went ten in 2min ISJsec. Among the principal Australians Pen-, theus beat Chatham over seven furlongs in Imin 32sec. Jacko and Cynical took the same time. COOK BEATS HINZMANN. ■ At Blackfriars Ring in a 12-rounds bout George Cook (Australia) knocked out the German Horst Hinzmann in the ninth round. Cook moved speedily, landing freely with both hands. Hinzmann shook Cook with a right to the face in the fourth round, but Cook was. generally predominant and fai cleverer. He scored well at close quarters. He attacked in the ninth round and drove Hinzmann to the ropes, and ■knocked him out with a left swing to the jaw. SCHMELING AND WALKER.
