GANDHI'S FAST TO END
AGREEMENT WITH HINDUS DRAFT PACT DRAWN UP Prw* As»ociation—By Telegraph—Copyright. CALCUTTA, September 24. A settlement was reached on Saturday afternoon between the Hindus and Mr Gandhi, under which the fast will end on Monday. A draft pact, which includes a number of Provincial Council seats for the depressed classes, is being drawn up for submission to the Governor, with an appeal to the Government to expedite the decision.

LONDON, September 25. (Received September 26, at 1.25 p.m.) A communique referring to Mr Gandhi says that Mr Ramsay MacDonald and Sir Samuel Hoare (Secretary for India) are in close consultation, and that every effort will be made to avoid delay.
