RATES MAINTAINED Prow A»«ociatiou—By Telegraph—Copyright. LONDON, September 23. (Received September 24, at 10.30 a.m.) At the wool sales 11,777 bales were offered, including 3,269 from New Zealand. About 0,075 bales were sold. There was good general competition at full rates. New Zealand greasy half-bred “ Boscobel ” top, 12fd, average Hid; slipes, half-bred lambs, “Belfast,” 12id and 10id. Messrs Murray, Roberts, and Co. Ltd. have received the following wool market cablegram from their London agents, Messrs Sanderson, Murray, and Elder Ltd., dated 23rd inst.—“ Sales continue with a good tone; competition moderate. Continental buyers principal buyers, and buying freely. Compared with opening rates present London sale, greasy merino wool suitable for Yorkshire, cross-bred greasy medium, cross-bred greasy coarse, declined 5 per cent. Cross-bred scoured, except the best descriptions, declined 5 to 10 per cent.”
