NOTICE OF CONFIRMATION OP SPECIAL ORDER AUTHORISING LOAN, PUBLIC NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Dunedin City Council, at a Special Meeting convened for the purpose and held in the Council Chamber, Town Hall, on Wednesday, the 31st day of August, 1932, passed the following resolution by way of Special Order, authorising the raising of a Special Loan of £25,000. The resolution is as follows: — 1. That in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by Section 15 of “The Waipori Falls Electrica Power Act, 1904,” and by “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926,” the Dunedin City Council hereby resolves (so that this resolution may be confirmed at a subsequent meeting of the Council and operate as a Special Order) to raise a Special Loan of Twenty-five Thousand Pounds (£25,000) for the purpose of providing funds to meet the cost of extensions of and additions to the Waipori Hydro-electric Undertaking, and generally for the purposes of “ The Waipon Falls Electrical Power Act, 1904. 2. That the security tor the interest and sinking fund and generally for the repayment of the said Special Loan of Twentyfive Thousand Pounds be a special annual recurring rate of Three Farthings (sd) in the Pound (£) upon the rateable value (on the basis of the annual value) of all rateable property of the City of Dunedin, comprising the whole of the City of Dunedin. 3. That the term of the said Special Loan be TEN (10) years from the issue date of the debentures to be created in respect of t!l 4. That l a sinking fund of THREE POUNDS (£3) per centum per annum be established in connection with the said Special Loan, and that the amount of such sinking fund be paid to the Sinking Fund Commissioners appointed by the City Council in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of ten years or until the said loan is fully paid off, of which sinking fund the first payment shall bo made at the expiry of one vear from the issue of the debentures. " 5. That the said Special Loan of £25,000 bo raised by the issue of debentures under ” The Local Bodies* Loans Act, 1926, and bear interest at the rate of Five Pounds Five Shillings (£5 Ss) per centum per annum. Such interest shall be payable haltyearly during the currency of such loan, and that coupons bo annexed to each such debenture accordingly, and that the said debentures and coupons be payable at Dunedin : provided that the holder of any such debenture may at his option elect to have payment of interest made at any branch ot the Bank of New Zealand within the Dominion of New Zealand free of exchange to the holder thereof. _ , . 6. That the Corporate Seal he affixed to all such debentures, and that all such debentures and coupons be signed by the Mayor and countersigned by the City Treasurer, but so that their respective signatures to the coupons may be lithographed on the Coupons.
