WIRELESS TELEPHOHY ON SHIPS THE AORANGX AND NIAGARA. Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright.SYDNEY, July 5. Amalgamated Wireless reports that the Aorangi, north bound, passed the Niagara, south bound, to-night at the Equator. The vessels were thirty miles apart. The leaders of the Australian and New Zealand delegations had tho opportunity to bo the first Ministers to speak on the wireless telephone between the ships. The Niagara’s passengers heard tho speeches through loud speakers.
MR COATES'S CONFIDENCE
TO DELEGATION WORK TOGETHER.
SYDNEY, July 6, (Received July 6, ot 9.5 a.m.)
Speaking by wireless telephone from the Aorangi to the Niagara, Mr Coates said that the Australian and New Zealand delegations were cooperating heartily in an endeavour to present helpful and constructive suggestions at Ottawa, and were confident that it would be possible to lay the foundations of the Empire’s prosperity, and likewise influence the rest of the world. New Zealand’s conditions were not such as could be desired, and knowing that a remedy was impossible by its own efforts alone, the Now Zealand delegation appreciated the serious purpose of tho Ottawa mission. Mr Coates added that New Zealand was facing adversity with a wonderful spirit. No other country would recover from the blasts ot tho depression more quickly.
