Foiiecast. .The Dominion Meteorologist (Dr E. Kidson) supplied the following at 9 a.m. to-day:—The indications aro for northerly moderate to strong winds, and backing by west to south after about sixteen hours; expect dull weather with much mist and fog in parts; ram probable, and snow on high country; the weather will probably become very cold to-morrow ; barometer falling; seas considerable, tides good. SAILED. —June 25. Pawn, tanker (9.15 a.m.), 1.200 tons, Paterson, for lilu/f. The tanker Paua left this morning for Blult to put out a further quantity of her motor spirit. The Wainiarino sailed to-day lor Auckland via ports. The motor ship Ashburton's departure is now postponed until midday on Monday, when she sails for northern ports and Australia. The Holmdale is due here on ihursday to load for Picton and Wanganui via the usual ports. , The John has been fixed to load at Dunedin next Friday for Wellington, New Plymouth, and Waikato via ports. The Storm is to load at this port on Tuesday for Wanganui via ports. The Wingatui left Auckland at noon yesterday for Wellington, Lyttelton, and Dunedin to discharge cargo. She is due here on Thursday, and after loading is to sail next Saturday for Timaru, Lyttelton, Picton, Wellington, and Auckland. The Waipiata leaves Auckland on Thursday of next week with cargo for Wellington, Lyttelton, Dunedin, Bluff, and Timaru.

'. THE FERRY SERVICE. The Rangatira, from Wellington, arrived at Lyttelton at 6.50 this morning, and passengers and mails connected with the south express. KARTIGI DUE TUESDAY. The Union Company advises that the Kartigi, from South Australian ports, is to leave Lyttelton on Monday afternoon for Dunedin, where she is duo on Tuesday morning to put out cargo. She sails the same day for Bluff for further discharge. PORPELLER GEAR DISPLACED. While being manoeuvred out of the floating dock at Wellington yesterday on one propeller the Makura displaced some of the gear of the second propeller, and will be redocked, probably tomorrow, after the Otokia comes out. The Makura will sail for Auckland on Tuesday. GALLIC AT SOUTHAMPTON. The Gallic, which sailed from Auckland on May 10 for Southampton and London via Cape Horn, arrived at Southampton on Monday evening. PERSONAL. Captain Hughan is now-in command of the Kaitoa. Captain MacMillan has taken_ command of the Taupata, and Captain W. Wahlstrom is now in command of the Rata. Captain 11. Pearson has relieved Captain E. A. Eden as master of the Totara. Mr F. A. Gellatly has joined the Kaitoa as second mate. HORORATA LEAVES LAS PALMAS. The Hororata, which left Auckland on May 12 for London via Montevideo, sailed from Las Palmas on Tuesday. RADIO FROM TONGARIRO. The Tongariro, eu route from London in ballast, has reported by wireless that she expects to arrive at Oamaru about July 3. She will commence her loading at Oamaru on July 6, and will subsequently complete at Timaru, Wanganui, Napier, Wellington, Port Chalmers, and Bluff. She is due here on July 25, and is scheduled to clear Bluff finally on July 29 for Southampton and London via Capo Horn and Dakar. LAUREL SOLD. The new motor tanker Laurel, 10,014 tons gross, which recently visited Wellington, is reported to have been sold to Norwegian buyers, together with an eight-years’ time charter. THE SOUTHERN CROSS. ■■ According to her wireless report, the Melanesian Mission yacht Southern Cross, will arrive at Auckland from Norfolk Island to-day. She has the following passengers:—Rev. A. E. Teall, Rev. De Voil, and Nursing-sister Dawes MARIPOSA AT SAN FRANCISCO. The Oceanic Company’s liner Mariposa, from Melbourne, Sydney, and Auckland, arrived at San Francisco on Wednesday. She is to leave San Francisco again on July 1, and Los Angeles the following day for Honolulu, Pago Pago, Suva. Auckland, Sydney, and Melbourne, and is due at Auckland on July 18. WHEAT FOR CALLAO. The Norwegian motor ship Malaren was dispatched from Geelong on Juno 8 with 56,713 bags of wheat for Callao. The Malaren, which is the second vex. sel to leave Victoria this year for Callao, was chartered at 24s 3d per ton. This rate is much better" than the rate now being paid for the United Kingdom or Continent—22s 9d. KENT TO LOAD HERE. The Federal Company advises that the Kent, at present en route from Glasgow m ballast, has been fixed to commence her Homeward loading at Port Chalmers on July 6. She will later complete at Oamaru, New Plymouth, Wanganui, Wellington, and Lyttelton. She is duo here on July 21, and is scheduled to clear Lyttelton finally on July 23 for London, Avoumoutli, Liverpool, and Glasgow. TAMAROA’S LOADING. The liner Tamaroa, now en route from London and Southampton to Wellington and Auckland, has been fixed to commence her Homeward loading at Port Chalmers on August 1. She will later complete at Timaru, Lyttelton, and Auckland, and is scheduled to clear the northern port finally on August 20 for Southampton and London via the Panama Canal. STEAMERS CHANGE OVER. On arrival at Wellington from Sydney next Tuesday, the Union Company’s passenger steamer Mamma is to lav‘up. The Makura, which has been laid up at Wellington, is to leave there next Tuesday, and Auckland the following Friday for Sydney, whore she is to transfer into the trans-Paoific service in the Maunganui's place, leaving Sydney on Julv 5 and Wellington on July 12 for Rarotonga, Papeete, and San Francisco. The Mannganui is due at Sydney from San Francisco via ports on July 2. and is to enter the intercolonial service, leaving Sydney on July 8 for Auckland, whence she is to return to Sydney via Wellington.
