DRUIDISM
The members ami visitors who attended the meeting of Otago Lodge on Monday evening were well repaid. An especially attractive programme had been arranged, and A.D. Bro. Hopwood commenced the business portion of the meeting early in order that ample time could be devoted to the social side. Tlie auditors submitted the bal-ance-sheet, which was adopted without discussion. An ' adjournment was then taken, and visitors with friends admitted. Begg’s Orchestra, under the leadership of Mr J. F. Himburg, was in attendance, and rendered several selections. Other performers were as follow :—Songs—Miss Phyllis Anderson, Veda Wyatt, and Mr F. Watt; horn solo, Mr J. F. Himburg; violin solo, Mr M. Wilson; accompanists, Mrs Bews and Mr A. Pettitt. At the completion of the concert programme supper was handed round, and half an hour was spent in dancing. A.I). Bro. 1). Mason presided over a largely attended meeting of All Nations Lodge, several members who had not attended for a considerable time being presem. An invitation to the anniversary of Otago Lodge was accepted. D.P. Bro. T. Hove, assisted by P.A. Bro. F. C. Smith, installed the following officers: —1.P.A., Bro. U. Mason-; A. D., Bro. Culbert; V.A., Bx - o. G. Sollett; treasurer, Bro. B. M*Alpine; M.C.. Bro. E. G. W. Bouse; 1.G., Bro. B. Wards; 0.G., Bro. A. S Wade; A.D.B’s, Bros. J. Craig and J. L. Walker; V.A.B.’s, Bros. H. C. Beeves and C. Lnscombe. On concluding the ceremony D.P. Bro. Dove was accorded a hearty vote of thanks, a similar compliment being paid to P.A. Bro. Bouse, who bad completed his term as J.P.A. The A.IX, officers and members of the Linden Lodge who motored from the city were then announced, and after having been welcomed, play lor the Fowler Euchre Shield was commenced. At the end of the stipulated time a count was made, when it was ascertained that by 24 to 23 Linden had captured the shield from the defenders. Tlie, loyal toast- were honoured and responded to by D.P. Bro; Dove. Bro. IT. A. Tyrrell. A.D. Linden Lodge, and Bros. Brockie (Ivanhoe) and Hughes (Lily).
