The motor ship Holmglen arrived last night from Wellington. She was loading cargo to-day ready to sail tonight "for Timaru, Lyttelton. Wellington, Now Plymouth, and Waikato. The Waipiata, which left last night for Bluff. is due back on Saturday morning to load cargo and sail the same day for Timaru,. Lyttelton, Wellington, and Auckland. Due at 9 o’clock to-night the Storm is to load out to-morrow. She sails at noon for Timaru, Lyttelton, Wellington. and Wanganui. On Monday the Gale and Orepnki arc due from Lyttelton and Wellington respectively. The Orepnki is to sail that day for Timaru. Lyttelton, Wellington, Picton, and Wanganui, and the Gale is to leave the next day for Oamani, Timaru, Lyttelton, Wellington. and Wanganui. The Opihi is fixed to load out at tills port on Monday for Oamaru, Timaru, Lyttelton. Wellington, Nelson, and Now Plymouth. THE FERRY SERVICE. Tiie Rangatira, from Wellington, arrived at Lyttelton at 7 a.m. to-day, and passengers and mails caught the south express. PASSENGERS FROM ENGLAND. Til.- AVhite Star Lino announces, through its passenger traffic manager, that a new minimum rate for first-class accommodation on the Olympic has boon decided upon, to be operative immediately. The Olympic new minimum iirst-class rate will now be 192d01. This represents a still further reduction on the Olympic rates, which were recently revised in accordance with an announcement made by the White Star Line. The Olympic,' of 46,439 tons, is the world’s largest triple-screw steamer, and still lias the distinction of being the largest vessel ever made in a British yard, and is well-known in the North Atlantic trade, where she plys between New York.
