FAMOUS PIANIST

BENNO MOISEIWITSCH The coining to the Town Hall Concert Chamber to-morrow evening of Moiseiwitsch, one of tho best pianoforte players in the world, will no doubt be received with great pleasure by lovers of good music, especially those who were fortunate to have heard him on his previous visits and remember the enthusiasm his playing caused on those occasions. Moiseiwitsch represents the acme of perfection, for among the younger pianists of the world there is no artist with a greater feeling for the melodic line and with a bigger repertoire. Moiseiwitsch is a man of keen intellect, who is ever studying and enlarging his already stupendous knowledge of musical works. One seldom hears nowadays the equal of the poetic charm with which he pervades his masterpieces. A thorough master of technique, he gives a flawless interpretation of the most brilliant and difficult works of pianoforte music. Even when the formidable demands made by technique are at their highest the clarity of his style and the crispness remain unrivalled. Moiseiwitsch is touring under the direction of J. and N. Tait. Tho box plan is at The Bristol, and the 3s day sales will ho at the Rialto tomorrow from 9 a.m. To-morrow evening M. Moiseiwitsch will play a programme selected from the leading composers of the world, which includes ton etudes by Chopin played together for the first time in Dunedin.
