'ENGLAND—THE DEAR HOMELAND ’

The subject chosen by request by Mr E. Headhunt Greenhow for his final recital at the Concert Chamber to-morrow is ‘ England—the Dear Homeland.’ Mr Greenhow has established a reputation wherever he has been for his vivid description, assisted by music, of the various counti'ies he has visited. Tomorrow he is giving what the Press decribes as “ a masterpiece, conveying the very atmosphere of the Mother Land.” The lecture will deal with England as a land of literary and historic interest and rural charm, its cathedrals, castles, famous places of literature and history; picturesque haunts of every county, including Loudon and the Thames, Oxford, Cambridge, Canterbury, Rochester, New Forest, Salisbury, Wells; hunting scenes, fishing villages, Devonshire, Cornwall, Warwick Castle, Stratford-on-Avon, and the Shakespeare country. Kenilworth. Hadclon Hall, Hatfield House, Lichfield, Ely, Peterborough, York Minster, Whitby Abbey, Fountains Abbey, Durham, and the English lake country. Superb photography will represent every county from Cornwall to Northumberland, and the large audiences which have attended Mr Greenhow’s recitals throughout may anticipate to-morrow evening’s performance with keen pleasure. Mr Greenhow will leave for Invercargill next week.
