THE BURWOOD MURDER SEARCH FOR WANTED MAN Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright. v SYDNEY April 17. The man who is wanted oy the police for the Burwood murders had another close call on Friday afternoon, although the fact only became known yesterday. The police apparently went (within 100yds of where lie _ was resting or camping in the scrub in the Dumbleton district, twelve miles south of the city. A woman who lives in the locality saw a man rise to his feet after the police had passed. He beat a hasty retreat. She thought he was only a casual dosser, and she failed to report the matter until yesterday. (The police returned to the spot, and made an important discovery, among the articles they found being a tweed overcoat spread on the ground, a chaff bag containing a gun, the stock of which was split, showing stains like blood, jewels, trinkets, a girl’s watch similar to the one worn by Miss Denzel before she was murdered, two rings, a blood-stained bandage, portions of a rug, and portions of a man’s clothing.
