HUGE LOSS LAST YEAR ABOLITION OF REPARATIONS URGED. Fret* Association—By Telegraph—Copyright. BERLIN, March IG. (Received March 17, at 10.30 a.m.) The Reichsbank's annual report for 1931 show's that tho bank lost 1,508,000,000 marks in efforts to regulate the stability of the Reichsmark. Its obligations to foreign countries at the end of the year were 428,000,000 marks, compared witli nearly 134,000,000 in 1930. The report concludes that reparations have proved impracticable, and there is no other way but to abolish this system formally with the utmost speed if the world is to be preserved from new economic and social catastrophes.
