FORESTERS
The newly-elected C.R., Bro. W« Blair, occupied the chair at the fort* nightly meeting of Court of Dun* edin, held in the Oddfellows’ Hall* Stuart street, _on Monday evenings The court was in mourning on account of the recent deaths of two members,) and a resolution of sympathy with the relatives of both was passed. A vote of thanks was passed to the, D.E., and P.D.C.R.’s who acted as pall-bearers at the funeral of the late P.D.C.R. Bro. J. Clark. Trustee Bro. W, Fleming, on behalf of Mrs F* W. Eason, handed to the Court her late husband’s P.C.R. sash, to be used in the court. Bro. . Eason at the time of his death was the oldest member of the court, having joined on February 21, 1865. It was decided to send a letter of thanks to Mrs Eason.
Invitations were received to pay them visits from Courts Woodland’s Pride, Excelsior ; and King Edward’s Pride, all of which were accepted. Trustee Bro. Fleming, on behalf of the court, presented Bro. S. Taylor with a toilet set in recognition of his services in going through the chairs for the third time. Bro. Taylor suitably returned thanks and expressed his ap« predation of the assistance his fellowofficers had given him during his term as C.R. The Social Committee was instructed to prepare a syllabus for th® ensuing year. Bro, Breen responded opf behalf of Court Enterprise to the visitors’ toast.
