The “ Red ” revolution, which was scheduled for January 25, was a failure, though there were outbreaks in several small towns and many arrests. BARCELONA, January 25. Troops have been hurriedly ordered to Alcorisa, near Saragossa, where the revolutionaries proclaimed a Communist Government and seized the municipal funds, the railway, and the dynamite stores. THE JESUIT ORDER MADRID, January 26. The Jesuits had little opportunity to protest against the suppression of their order, as their chief organ, I EI Debate,’ was suspended. It is believed that they will leave the country quietly. Educationists are wondering how to replace eminent teachers who specialised in mathematics, physics, and philosophy.
