CIVIL SERVICE CHAMPIONSHIPS R. W. MASKELL COLLECTS TREBLE The feature of the first of the series of championship meetings staged by the Civil Service Harrier and Amateur Athletic Club at the University Oval at Logan Park last night was the treble success of 11. W. Masked, the Otago junior 100yds champion, who annexed the 100yds convincingly in 10 2-ssec, won the long jump at 19ft 6iin (a club record), and the hop, step, and jump at 42ft IJin. The half-mile was a slow-run race, and suited J. 6. Barnes' well, the Otago representative winning in 2min 13sec. The track was in good order, and large fields were the order of the night.
