MINIATURE RIFLE ASSOCIATION
The annual Christmas shoot of the Otago Miniature Hifle Association was fired on the Drill Hall range. A large number of members and their friends were present. Eighty-eight participated in the shoot, and credit must be given to the handicapper, Mr Gillick, for no less than twenty-nine tied for the first shoot. ' In the first shoot-off Mr Bruce turned out the winner with the possible off the rifle. The second shoot resulted in W. Goudie being second, and N. Jones third. Mr Bruce won the goose, Mr Goudie the plum pudding, and Mr Jones the cake. Eighteen cash prizes were also distributed. For the special prizes for ladies Miss J. F. Flockton was first and Mrs Bradly second. It was very pleasing to see a number of membei s of Hudson’s Club present. As this is a new club and it being its first shoot it was decided to divide the entrance tees from the club into prizes, and Mr It. Hudson won the first'prize by a small margin from three other members.
