The fire brigade received a call at 1.25 thi.s afternoon to the rear of Messrs Peter Poll Ltd.’s emporium in George street, where some packing cases were destroyed as the result of fire spreading from a rubbish incinerator. The outbreak was quickly suppressed, no damage to the property resulting.
