NEW ZEALAND INTERMEDIATE AND JUNIOR CHAMPIONSHIPS SELECTION OF OTAGO TEAM The executive of the Otago _ Swimming Centre has selected, subject to the confirmation of the next meeting of tho centre on January 6, the following to represent Otago in defence of tho War Memorial Shield'at the New Zealand intermediate and junior chainpionships at Lower Hutt, Wellington, on January 22 and 23 next;—■ —lntermediate Boys.—■ Reg. Geddes (Kiwi) -100yds. 220yds, and 440yds free style, and 100yds breast stroke. W. J. Jarvis (Dunedin).— 100yds and 220yds. P. E. Mathieson (Kiwi.—lntermediate diving. —Junior Girls. — Miss W. Ncwall (Dunedin). —50yds and 100yds. —Junior Boys.— S. Jarvis (Dunedin). —100yds and 220yds. The team is open to challenge, which should be received' by the secretary of the centre before December 30. Members of the team are asked to do ns much of their .training ns possible in the Kaikorai Baths in order to become accustomed to tho cold fresh water.
