MARRIES A RANCHER LOS ANGELES, December 10. Clara Bow, the film actress, and Rex Bell, a Nevada ranch-owner, have been married? Clara Bow. who was born in New York in 1906, of Scottish parents, was intuoduced to the screen by winning a beauty competition while still at school. She made her debut in 1926. Soon she was hailed ns a film genius, and won world fame and a fortune because Elinor Glyn declared her to bo the personification of ‘ It.’ Her engagement to Harry Richman, a stage star, was announced early this year, but it was broken off, and shortly afterward Clara J3ow was admitted to hospital with a knife wound in the chest. She suffered a nervous breakdown and was admitted to a sanatorium. Later, on the advice of Rex 8011, a young rancher, she went with a nurse to his ranch in the Nevada Desert, 400 miles from Hollywood, to recuperate. Ho counselled her to “cut adrift from the caviare and late nights and pry showed rabbit and dawn risings ” on his ranch.
