MANSLAUGHTER CHARGE, In consequence of an affray at Otaluilui on Saturday in which Frederick Lovelock met Ins death the police arrested Andrew Inglis Carswell, aged twenty-five, a stoker, on a charge of manslaughter. Carswell appeared in the Auckland Police Court, and was remanded to appear on ' December 28. Bail was fixed at £SOO and two sureties of £250 each.—Auckland Association message.
