(11.40 p.m.), 2,378 tons, Lowe, from Auckland via ports. The Wingatui, which arrived at Dunedin late last night, discharged her cargo this morning and paid off the crew. The vessel will lay up at Port Chalmers. • , The departure of the Gale has been fixed for 6 o’clock this evening for Wellington, Picton, and Wanganui via the usual ports. An expected arrival here to-morrow morning is the Waipahi, which left Wellington yesterday. She sails from .here on Monday evening for Oamaru, Timaru, Lyttelton, Napier, and Gisborne. ' . On Wednesday the Waimarmo is due here to load for Timaru, Lyttelton, Wellington, and Auckland. . Owing to bad weather at New Plymouth the Opihi will not load here until December 24. . _ The Pooita is now loading at Westport and Greymouth for Wellington and Dunedin. On Monday the Holmdale is to load here for Wellington and Wanganui via ports- - John is now fixed to load at Dunedin on December 28 for Port Waikato via ports. N The Kanna was to load at Westport yesterday for Auckland. On arrival at Auckland the vessel will be withdrawn ■from commission. THE FERRY SERVICE. The Rangatira, from Wellington, arrived at Lyttelton at 6.50 a.m. today, and passengers and mails connected with the express for the south, REMUERA FROM ENGLAND. The New Zealand Shipping Company advises that the Remuera sailed from Southampton on December 18, and is due at Wellington on January 24. ZEALANDIC FROM LIVERPOOL. The local agents for the Zealandie (the National Mortgage and 'Agency Company) advise that the vessel is fixed to* leave Liverpool on January 9 for Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton, and Dunedin, She is due at Auckland on February 11, and at Dunedin on February 23. THE WELLINGTON DOCK. Word has been received by the Wel» lington Harbour Board that the board’s floating dock is 720 miles from port and is expected to arrive on December 29, eight weeks or more ahead of schedule time. CORNWALL AT LONDON. The New Zealand Shipping, Company’s Cornwall, which left Wellington on November 5 for London and Glasgow via Panama, arrived at London on Sunday, CANADIAN SCOTTISH TO LOAD. The Canadian National Steamships advises that the Canadian Scottish left Buenos Aires on December 9 for Auckland, Napier, Wellington, Dunedin, and Lyttelton to load for New York, Boston, and Halifax. The vessel is scheduled to reach Auckland on January 18 and to sail from Lyttelton for New York on January 30.
CARGO FROM LIVERPOOL. The National Mortgage and Agency. Company advises that the Matakana is • now due at Dunedin (tide permitting)) on January 8 from Liverpool via ports,She is timed to leave here the next] day for New Plymouth, thence Wel-i lington, Timaru, and Napier, sailing! finally for London via Panama and Jamaica on January 25. BENLAWERS LOADS WOOL. At present loading wool in the north of the South Island, the Benlawers, which is under charter to G. W. Scales and Co., will complete Homeward loading at Port Chalmers, and will sail finally about January 5 for Dunkirk. The wool will be carried to the United Kingdom and the Continent. THE GOLDEN CROSS. Messrs H. L. Tapley and Co. advise’ ' that the Golden Cross, which left Los i Angeles on December 1, is due at Auck-'i land on December. 27, and at Dunedin 1 about , January 8, with Pacific Coast cargo. PAKEHA LEAVES BRISBANE. Cabled advice has .been received by, the Shaw, Savill Company that the Pakeha left Brisbane on Wednesday, morning for Bluff, where she is duo next Monday, to commence her homeward loading. She will subsequently ' complete at Lyttelton, Wanganui,Auckland, and Wellington. The vessel is due here on January 11, and is t scheduled to clear this port finally on January 16 for Southampton and Lon-i' don, via the Panama Canal and Kingston. TAIROA DELAYED. The Shaw, Savill Company advises that the Tairoa has been delayed by rain at New Plymouth, and is now to leave there to-morrow for Wanganui to continue her Homeward loading. The Tairoa is now due at Wellington next' Tuesday for further loading, and wilij leave here again the following day for' Napier, Auckland, Timaru,_ and Port? Chalmers, to complete. She is scheduled! to clear the last-named port finally on| January 7 for London, Avonmouth,| Liverpool, and Glasgow, via thee Panama Canal and Kingston. She is! due at London on February 13.
