HEAVY DEFALCATIONS ALLEGED
BANK MANAGER CHARGED Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright. PERTH, December 18. (Received December 19, at 10.30 a.m.) Allan Baxter, aged thirty-six, the manager of the State Savings Bank at Collie, was committed for trial on a charge of having stolen £36,708. Evidence was given that Baxter had forged depositors’ signatures, and had admitted making bets.
