WOMAN KIDNAPPED
AMERICAN MILLIONAIRE'S WIFE Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright. NEW YORK, December 17. It is reported from Kansas City that Mrs Nell Connelly, wife of a millionaire garment manufacturer, was kidnapped yesterday. She sent a note to her husband stating that she would he blinded, and her chauffeur, who had been taken with her, would he murdered unless their abductors were paid a ransom of 75,000d01. Mr Connelly asserts that he does not want police interference and that he is ready and willing to pay the money. In a public statement he guarantees payment, and states that if a single hair on. his wife’s head is harmed ho will spend the rest of his life in running down the kidnappers and sending them to the gallows. (Received December 19, at 10.30 a.m.) A message from Kansas City states that Mrs Donnelly and her chauffeur were released unharmed. The relatives stated that no ransom was paid.
