GLASGOW'S FULL MARKS

PACKING CASE ROBBERY. Glasgow receives full marks from the crime experts in London for a new in-vention-burglary by packing casewrites a correspondent of the ‘ Weekly Scotsman.’ There is nothing novel in introducing a confederate by leaving him in a packing case on the premises to be “ worked.” But this was something quite different and more ingenious. The packing case was left after the shop had been closed for the night, up against the door, while the men in charge “ went to look for ” the owner of the shop. By the time they returned (without finding him) the man in the case had opened a panel in the end of it, had removed a panel in the shop door, had helped himself to anything worth stealing from the shop, had restored both panels, and was ready to be driven away in his non-deliverable ease.
