Air William Wood, a thirty years* resident in Vancouver, is now in Dun* edin on a visit. Reference to the retirement of two head masters, Air C. C. Rawlinson and Air T. Begg, was made at the monthly meeting of the Education Board this morning by the chairman. Air Wallace said that both these head masters had occupied their positions with honour, to the board, and ho thought that both would bo able to say_ that they had put in' the whole of their service with the Otago Board. He moved that a letter, of appreciation be sent to each of them expressing the hope that they would find peace and prosperity in retirement. The motion was carried unanimously.
