(Received December 10, at 11.'3D a.m.) Presiding at the Paterson, Lajng, and Bruce Company’s annual meeting, Mr Stanley Bruce said he thought he could justifiably give the shareholders some encouragement for the future. The world had reached such a point that unless action was taken to bring about an international movement for the advance of the world’s prices bankruptcy would appear, facing every nation, but he thought that Australia had reached the bottom of its depression, and could look forward to a sure, but possibly very .slow, improvement in its position.
