Sir Walter Layton, editor of the 1 Economist,’ and formerly director of the economic and financial section of the League of Nations, has been nominated to servo as the British member on the Advisory Committee which has been summoned by the Bank of International Settlements to consider Germany’s capacity to pay reparations. Sir Waller, was a member of the Bankers’ Committee which inquired into the immediate credit needs of Germany in \ugust.
