Britain recently had its ninth fair week-end this year. Out of thirty-eight altogether, twenty-nine had given ineasureablo rain in London, and only four or five were completely dry. It was too much to hope that it had, and everyone looked out of doors with due timidity, says the ‘ Daily Mail.’ It had become so customary to expect .rain on Saturday and Sunday that people found it difficult to get used to the sun. But as the day wore on the sun remained and scarcely' a white cloud ruffled the blue of the heavens.
