RIFLE SHORTING
KAITANGATA DEFENCE CLUB The Kaitangata Defence Rifle Club fired a sweepstake match on Saturday, when, in spite of a cold wind and passing showers some good scores' were registered. W, Oliver and E. M'Crostie, with 44 each, : were top at 300yds, while at 500yds E* Kitto came to the front with , a fine 47, J. H. Frazer (46), T. Frazer,' W. Oliver,J. Alexander, and E. M'Crostie (45) also shot well. It was a day out for the long handicap men, weather conditions catching, all the low-mark men at one or both ranges.
