NATURALISTS' FIELD CLUB

" AHHUAI MEETING Tlic annual meeting of the Kuturaiists’ Field Club was held in the Somerset Lounge last night, Mr W. J. Birrell (president) being in the chair. 11l moving the adoption of the annual report and balance-sheet, the Chairman said that a successful year had been held by all sections of tho club, and there was a. credit of cash in hand in the bank of £33 10s Id. The annual report and balance-sheet were adopted. Tho following office-bearers wore elected:-—-President, Mr I<. W. MdCaskill; vice-presidents—Miss 0. Cartwright and Mr AV. J. Birred; secretary, Miss Ella Campbell; assistant secretary, Miss E. Farquharson; country corresponding secretary, Miss Stewar’ ; treasurer, Miss A. M. Clancy; auditor, Mf AV. G. Howes; committee- —Messrs A. AV. Anderson and E. Sutherland. A hearty vote of thanks was accorded the retiring officers. At the conclusion of tho formal portion of tho meeting, a .social evening was spent. Miss O. Cartwright, who retired from the secretaryship after holding tho position for ton” years, was made a presentation as a token of the esteem in which she was held by her fellow-mem-bers. During the evening items were given by Misses H. Hodges, C. M'Leod, Stella Bayly, and Molly Vickers. An address on the early history of tho club was given by the IT on. C. M.' Thomson. The accompanist was Alisa Amilio Logic.
